Reasons for the Reboot
When it comes to why I decided to reboot everything, it's difficult to know where to begin. Over the span of 10 years, I've learned a lot of things. One of those things is the importance of consistency.
People like it when things are consistent. "The Ricky Ray Show!" however, has little to no consistency other than it's raunchy sexual humor, which I'll get to later. If you look at Uni's first and last appearance in the original series, you would swear they were completely different characters. It's not just Uni, but everything, from the art style, panel structure, writing, coloring, you name it. Obviously I had no idea what I was doing in regards to making comics. I just wanted to draw. It didn't matter what I was drawing or the amount of thought that was being but into it.
After taking a break from the site, I took a long hard look at everything I've done up until now. I read every comic, watched every animation, and looked at every piece of art work on the site. It was then I realized, the only way to make this work is to reboot everything with a solid direction and goal.
We will be toning down the sexual humor of the comics while giving the characters an arc along with three dimensional personalities. My greatest regret is going too far with some of the more suggestive jokes and failing to give any of the characters dept. That is not the road I want to continue going down.
If DC Comics can reboot, so can I.
